Third Annual Mid Winter Swim
Looking for a challenge, brilliant food and live music? Then be at Ramada Resort Reia Taipa Beach from 10.30am.
Fancy Dress. live music from 11am to 2pm and there is no cover charge. The swim for those brave enough kicks off at 10:30am and there will be prizes for best dressed as well as free mulled wine or hot chocolate for those who swim!

Rally of the North (Far North Rally)
Organised by the Auckland Car Club, the Northland Car Club, the Hibiscus Coast Motorsport Club and the Northern Sports Car Club.
Starts and ends at Paihia with lunck break in Kaitaia (first car departs at 07.20 and returns around 16.10). Rally stages can be viewed at Fern Flat, Kohumaru Road, Peria (09.40), Fairburn and Church Road (10.30). Cars pass along State Highway 10 from east of Manganui to Taipa and then down to Peria.

9am - 1pm at the Doubtless Bay Christian Centre (opposite Mangonui Fire Station on State Highway 10). New stall holders welcome, $10, Car Boots just $5, Fresh local produce, Hot food and drinks from the kitchen, arts & crafts, Children's play area, Op-shop open, heaps of parking.

Mangonui Lions Annual Fun Run
Start time 10am at Mangonui School. Finishes at Coopers Beach Shopping Centre. Choice of 6km. and 8km. courses. Shuttle bus from parking at Coopers Beach shops to start at Mangonui School. Organised by the Mangonui Lions Club - $10 entry.

A Fabulous Family Fun day out? With heaps of great games, attractions and yummy food, including hangi, you won't do better than the Kaingaroa School Gala on 29 October from 10am- 2pm. There are lots of great raffle prizes, too - including an i-Pad Air 2, (thank you, Folders!) . $10 Hangi tickets, as well as $2 Raffle tickets, are already on sale.
