ANNUAL MANGONUI WATERFRONT FESTIVAL
Sadly the 2025 Festival has been cancelled but we are working on a festival date for 2026. So keep watching.
The Mangonui Waterfront Festival- where does the money go?
• The festival is a major local event which brings businesses and tourists together.
• It Costs $100 000 to present and would run at a loss, if the Doubtless Bay Promotions Inc (DBPI) didn’t get grants and the $10 gate fee for adults.
• Costs include: Road closures, waste disposal, stage set up and electrical, musicians, entertainment and event management.
• Any profits go back into the community to: Mangonui Lions and Taipa Schools, St John’s and of course our own Info Centre.
This festival provides an invaluable platform for local artisans and craftsmen, and local businesses.
And it’s fun! See you next year!
